Sampdoria have signed left-back Tommaso Augello from Serie B side Spezia and are closing in on Valencia defender Jeison Murillo.
Augello arrives from Spezia on loan with an obligation to buy, reported to be worth €3-4m.
The 24-year-old broke through last season, scoring once and providing five assists in 34 games as the Aquilotti reached for the Serie B playoffs.

Sky Sport Italia, meanwhile, claims Murillo will return to Italy on a similar basis, with the Ligurians paying €2m for a season-long loan and €12m next summer.
The Colombian began his professional career at Udinese and spent two seasons at Inter, making 69 appearances in all competitions.
He then moved to Valencia in 2017, helping them qualify for the Champions League, but has struggled with injuries and played just four times during a loan spell for Barcelona last term.
