However, a statement from Bologna this evening confirmed he is already settling in to the clinic.

“He had said it on Saturday in the Press conference: ‘I can’t wait to get into hospital. The sooner I start the treatment, the sooner I’ll finish.’
“Sinisa Mihajlovic kept his word yet again: in agreement with the Bologna medical staff and the haematology department of the Istituto Seragnoli in the Sant’Orsola Hospital, the Coach has anticipated his entrance into hospital to today, originally planned for tomorrow.

Leukaemia is a form of cancer of white blood cells and bone marrow, although test results should only conclude tomorrow what specific type of leukaemia Mihajlovic is suffering from.
The Bologna medic did confirm it was acute and in need of aggressive treatment, usually chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
