Milan are reportedly thinking about offering Hakan Calhanoglu in exchange for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Leipzig have gone back in for Calhanoglu, while Milan are keen on Upamecano.
With that in mind, the broadcaster claims the Rossoneri could capitalise on the Germans’ interest in the midfielder by asking to include him in negotiations for the Frenchman.
The Turk faces increased competition in midfield this season, with Ismael Bennacer and possibly Jordan Veretout set to follow Rade Krunic to San Siro.
The 20-year-old, meanwhile, would fit the bill for new Milan boss Marco Giampaolo.
