Flamengo Coach Jorge Jesus confessed Mario Balotelli “could do very well in Brazil” after reports he has agreed personal terms.
The striker is a free agent after spells in France with Nice and Olympique Marseille, but seemed unconvinced by the proposals from within Europe.
According to Tuttomercatoweb and the Gazzetta dello Sport, Balo has now worked through the image rights issue and accepted a contract to December 2021 worth overall €15m, including commission.
“Mario is a great player,” Flamengo Coach Jorge Jesus told reporters in a video interview.
“If Balotelli were to arrive, he is a player who could do very well in Brazilian football, as he has a lot of quality.”
