Radja Nainggolan has revealed that Inter want Mauro Icardi out because his agent-wife Wanda Nara has caused problems in their dressing room.
Nainggolan lasted only a season at Inter before returning to Cagliari earlier in the month, and the midfielder admits he will be out for ‘revenge’ against his parent club this weekend.
“Of course I want revenge,” he told Corriere dello Sport.
“I’ll want to prove that they were wrong, not only in this game but throughout the season.
“I tried to make Conte change his mind, I started out on tour with them and gave it my all, but it wasn’t enough.
“Oriali spoke to me first and then Conte, who explained to me that [letting me go] was a non-footballing decision.
“Maybe that’s partly my fault. Let’s say I’m not your typical footballer, who goes straight home once a game ends, but I won’t change my way of life.
“I know some people don’t like it. I’ve taken note of that and I’ve turned the page. I never heard from Marotta, he didn’t talk to me.”
The 31-year-old was then asked about Icardi, who has burned all his bridges with the Nerazzurri yet continues to insist on staying.
“He’s not a bad boy, but someone in the dressing room hasn’t forgiven his wife Wanda for the comments she’s made.
“As for whether I have, I don’t even listen to her. I don’t watch football shows...”
