The Nerazzurri emerged 2-0 winners thanks to Marcelo Brozovic and Romelu Lukaku goals last night, but also rattled the woodwork three times.

“The derby is won by whoever wants it more and we proved that we wanted it more,” D’Ambrosio told Sky Sport Italia.

“We needed to give ourselves a response after the Champions League draw with Slavia Prague. Every game we don’t win, acts as fuel to help us get the next victory and improve.

“Winning doesn’t just mean having silverware at the end of the season, but knowing you’ve ended every game dripping in sweat and having given our all.

“We’re on the right track, but it’s still September. If we want to scare the opposition, we need to keep winning.”

Inter look a different team under Antonio Conte, so what has changed for D’Ambrosio?

“The main difference is that we no longer accept even a draw. We always want the three points. We must aim as high as we possibly can.”
