Napoli have confirmed Albania international Elseid Hysaj suffered a fractured sternum during today’s 0-0 draw with Torino.
The defender was stretchered off at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino after a very awkward fall in a collision with Cristian Ansaldi.
He fell upside down on to the back of his neck and the initial diagnosis was ‘chest bruising.’
However, that was updated following an X-Ray, which found a parcellar fracture of the sternum.
It remains to be seen how long this will keep Hysaj out of action for.
