“We need to face Udinese with intelligence and balance, showing respect for our opponents, seeing the danger in this fixture and avoiding the errors we’ve seen recently,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“We should’ve done better and paid a heavy price, so I hope we’ve learned from those mistakes. I have been clear to the squad on how I want us to approach the game and I hope that will be enough to ensure a great performance.

“I try to get 110 per cent out of my players, but we don’t have as many points as we deserved to so far this season.”

Udinese are the lowest-scoring team in Serie A this term with just three goals in seven rounds, but Mazzarri isn’t taking anything for granted.

“Let’s not forget that Udinese beat Milan and Bologna. If we don’t play the game with intelligence, against players like Kevin Lasagna, Rodrigo De Paul and Stefano Okaka, we could get into trouble. We can’t think that we’ll just rush at them all guns blazing.”

Mazzarri had originally been suspended for this match, but won his appeal, whereas Udinese Coach Igor Tudor had his ban upheld.

“It’s always sad when a Coach is suspended, because we just want to be understood. I know Tudor to be a lovely guy, so I don’t want to add anything more on this matter.”
