Parma will be without key duo Bruno Alves and Roberto Inglese for at least the next game after they suffered injuries.

Parma thrashed Genoa 5-1 on Sunday to move up to eighth in Serie A – but at the expense of Inglese.

That is because, as per the Ducali’s official website, the striker sprained his ankle and needs two weeks of treatment “and subsequent recovery”.

He lasted just 12 minutes at the weekend and was replaced by Andreas Cornelius, who scored a quick-fire hat-trick.

With the next international break scheduled for November 11-19, it seems unlikely Inglese will return before then.

Alves, meanwhile, missed the win against Genoa with what Parma describe as “a grade-I injury to his left hamstring”.

The defender should therefore miss only his side’s next match at Inter this Saturday, although there is a midweek round coming up.
