Probable line-ups: City-Atalanta

Atalanta are ready to turn to Alejandro Gomez, Josip Ilicic and Luis Muriel for a way past Manchester City in the Champions League this evening.

Atalanta will be without top goalscorer Duvan Zapata for several weeks so Muriel will keep his place at the tip of their attacking trident.

Flanking him will be Gomez and Ilicic, the latter of whom coming in at the expense of Ruslan Malinovskyi on the left.

In defence, Simon Kjaer and Jose Luis Palomino are both unavailable so Berat Djimsiti will fill in for the pair.

City, on the other hand, have been boosted by the returns of stoppers Nicolas Otamendi, Kyle Walker and John Stones, although midfielder Fernandinho is set to continue at centre-back.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side realistically need at least a point against the English giants if they are to progress in the Champions League after opening with two defeats.

Manchester City (probable): Ederson; Cancelo, Fernandinho, Stones, Zinchenko; De Bruyne, Gundogan; Mahrez, Silva, Sterling; Aguero

Atalanta (probable): Gollini; Toloi, Djimsiti, Masiello; Castagne, Freuler, de Roon, Gosens; Gomez, Ilicic; Muriel
