Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has been given a one-match ban for his dismissal against Atalanta last night.
Ancelotti was sent straight down the tunnel during Napoli’s protests for not being awarded a penalty in the 2-2 draw.
Although the Coach defended his actions, the FIGC’s Giudice Sportivo argued he “entered the pitch, disputing a refereeing decision.”
Team manager Giovanni Paolo De Matteis is similarly suspended for the Partenopei’s next game on Saturday against Roma.
Elsewhere, Genoa goalkeeper Federico Marchetti is banned for two games after he disputed refereeing decisions at Juventus “with blatant gestures and uttering disrespectful expressions.”
Inter are fined €5,000 for “insulting and severely-intimidating chants” against an unnamed Brescia player in the first half of Tuesday’s fixture at the Rigamonti.
However, the player in question is thought to be Mario Balotelli, with ANSA reporting how the ex-Nerazzurri striker was subjected to vile addresses about his mother.
Back to Napoli, they must pay a €3,000 penalty after one of their fans threw a plastic bottle on to the field against Atalanta.
Torino defender Nicolas Nkoulou and Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot, meanwhile, must sit out the next round with suspensions.
