Udinese have announced the dismissal of Coach Igor Tudor after a poor run of results.

“Udinese Calcio announce they have relieved Igor Tudor of his duties as head Coach of the first team, together with his assistant Jurica Vucko,” read a club statement.

“The club want to thank Tudor and Vucko for the work they have done. The squad will be temporarily led by Luca Gotti, who will take charge of his first training session at 15:00 CET this afternoon.”

The former Juventus defender returned in March and again helped the Zebrette stave off relegation.

However, a 7-1 defeat to Atalanta and 4-0 thrashing at home to Roma left his position untenable.

Goals have also been hard to come by, with the Zebrette scoring just five in 10 games – the lowest in Serie A.

Former Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso is considered the early favourite to replace Tudor.
