MLS chief: 'Milan want Ibrahimovic'

MLS Commissioner Don Garber claims LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic “is being recruited by AC Milan” for a return to Serie A.

The Swede’s contract with the LA Galaxy is up in December and he has already hinted he’s interested in a comeback to Italy, where he already played for Juventus, Inter and Milan.

Bologna confirmed they are in negotiations with Ibra, but in a surprise development, MLS Commissioner Garber told ESPN that he is also in talks with his old club.

“Zlatan is such an interesting guy. He keeps my hands full, but he’s a thrill a minute and you need this kind of players, like Beckham did in his early days,” said Garber

“He’s a 38-year-old guy and now being recruited by AC Milan, one of the top clubs in the world. He’s exciting on and off the field. I’d love to see him back, but that has to be up to the LA Galaxy.

“I have enjoyed the Zlatan moments, particularly when he speaks to me in the third person.”
