Inter coach Antonio Conte is reportedly receiving police protection after he was sent a bullet along with a threatening letter.
According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper and the Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte received an envelope containing a series of anonymous threats and a bullet.
This is a well-known act of intimidation, with bullets recently sent to various politicians in Italy.
It’s reported an investigation has been opened and, just in case, Conte has been granted police protection outside his home and the Inter training ground.
Although it is likely to just be an ill-advised and offensive prank, the authorities are taking the matter seriously.
There had been complaints from Juventus ultras after the former Bianconeri boss took the job with their arch rivals Inter.
Since leaving Turin, Conte has also worked for the Italy squad and at Chelsea.
