Adriano Galliani claims Zlatan Ibrahimovic returning to Milan would be a "romantic" move, "similar to when Cristiano Ronaldo came to Italy."
The Swede has been linked with a return to the club ever since he left in 2012, with rumours now intensifying as he will be a free agent at the end of December.
Speaking to Rai Sport, Galliani - who signed the striker for Milan in 2010 - confessed he would love to see him back at San Siro.
"It would be romantic if he returned. But I have a rule, I don't talk about teams I'm not involved with anymore. I'm only a fan of Milan now.
"Still, his arrival would enrichen Italian football, similar to when Cristiano Ronaldo came to Italy."
Bologna and Napoli have also been linked with Ibrahimovic, despite his 38 years.
