Reports say former Juventus boss Max Allegri has rejected the chance to take over at Arsenal.

Allegri has been out of work since leaving Juve at the end of last season, and both Sky Sports and Gazzetta dello Sport claim he was approached with a view to replacing the sacked Unai Emery.

However, they agree the 52-year-old passed up the opportunity as he wants to see out his sabbatical, ahead of making a comeback next summer.

Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have also been put forward as potential destinations for Allegri.
