Claudio Ranieri has urged his Sampdoria squad players to “turn the page” against Cagliari in the Coppa Italia tomorrow.
Samp threw away a two-goal lead against Cagliari on Monday as they lost 4-3 right at the death, but they already have the chance to make amends in Sardinia.
According to Ranieri, however, they will try their luck with a much-changed team to the one who started last time out.
“We must turn the page, remembering the good things we’ve done,” the former Roma boss said at a press conference.

“There have been mistakes, but Cagliari are in brilliant form: everything’s going for them right now.
“We need to be patient, with the awareness that we’re on the right track. Rotation will help me assess certain players properly in a real game, different to a training session.
“I want to see what personality, desire and anger are in those who have played less. It will also let the others recover.”
