Sampdoria patron Massimo Ferrero has been banned from presidential activities for four months due to payment irregularities.
The punishment relates to “non-existent transactions” covering the renovation of their training complex in Bogliasco, the FIGC explained in a statement.
Ferrero’s wife Vanessa has been hit with the same suspension, while the club has incurred a fine of €15,000.
