“I didn’t expect these performances. Our displays have gone beyond what we expected. However we still need to get points. We are happy with how we are playing at the moment," said the coach in his press conference.
Verona took the lead against Atalanta twice last week before being pegged back in the final minutes of the game, and have conceded late goals against Roma and Inter.
“I don’t see it as a problem. I thought we would have scored more goals up to this point. We’ve made some mistakes, we certainly need to improve in this aspect. The Roma game was our best test.”
Andrea Belotti makes his Torino comeback from injury today, which could send Simone Zaza to the bench.
“They are two great strikers. Every squad has great players, we will analyse them and we will give advice to our defenders.”
Juric was asked if he would like to build something with Verona in the manner in which mentor Gian Piero Gasperini has at Atalanta.
“I don’t think about it, everything must be about avoiding relegation. The rest matters little. If we save ourselves, and we must do everything to try, then we’ll see. Everything is for the club.
“I’m happy with everyone. I seen an important individual growth in the squad. They are all growing as players.”
