Despite their efforts on the field, Mancini felt the acumen of patron Percassi was even more remarkable.

“The President, for how he has been able to reinforce and stabilise a club already well structured,” he told Tuttosport when asked about the secret to their success.
“He has always worked well with young players. And then Gasperini is the right coach.”
Atalanta will face Valencia in the first knockout phase. They host Los Che on February 19, before travelling to Mestalla on March 10.
