Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso has reportedly identified Milan left-back Ricardo Rodriguez as a reinforcement for January.
Corriere dello Sport claims the new Napoli boss is interested in Rodriguez, a move that would see the two reunited after they worked together at San Siro.
The Partenopei have had problems in the position this season, with Mario Rui and especially Faouzi Ghoulam struggling for form and fitness.
The Switzerland international will, according to the report, be looking for a way out of Milan this winter so he can secure regular first-team football in time for Euro 2020.
He had been first choice for the Rossoneri but has since fallen behind summer signing Theo Hernandez in the pecking order.
The newspaper also writes Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is stepping up the chase of a defensive midfielder, amidst links with Lucas Torreira and Sander Berge.
