Roma have won the race with Bologna to sign Roger Ibanez from Atalanta, on loan for 18 months with obligation to buy for up to €11m.

According to multiple Italian sources, the Brazilian has chosen the Giallorossi and will have his medical on Monday.

The formula of the deal is a paid loan to June 2021 for €1m, with obligation to buy for €8m plus up to €2m in performance-related bonuses.

It is a chance to make his mark in Serie A, as the 21-year-old joined Atalanta from Fluminense in January 2019 for €4m, but barely featured.
