Napoli will hope to gain their first league victory for three months as they face Fiorentina, but new signings Diego Demme and Stanislav Lobotka aren’t expected to start.

The Partenopei haven’t won at home in Serie A since a 2-0 win against Verona in mid October, and desperately need points if they are to make it into Europe next season.

Napoli have only collected 24 points, their lowest tally at this stage of the season since 2007-08, when they were newly promoted.

Rino Gattuso still has to do without Kalidou Koulibaly and Nikola Maksimovic in central defence, so expect Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Kostas Manolas to start.

Alex Meret is also still unavailable, so David Ospina should retain his position in goal.

Left-back Mario Rui is also out through suspension, and so Elseid Hysaj should replace the Portuguese.

New arrivals Demme and Lobotka aren’t expected to play from the start as they only began training midweek, however they could pick up some minutes towards the middle of the second half.

Dries Mertens has only just come back from injury, but could make the bench.

Fiorentina meanwhile could hand a first league start to new signing Patrick Cutrone.

Cutrone made his Serie A debut last weekend, coming off the bench in the 1-0 win over SPAL, and scored in the 2-1 win over Atalanta in the Coppa Italia.

Cutrone is expected to replace Dusan Vlahovic.

Federico Chiesa is also expected to return for the Viola.

Beppe Iachini is expected to retain the same midfield that played in the 1-0 win over SPAL, with Marco Benassi, Erick Pulgar and Gaetano Castrovilli all due to start.

Probable line-ups:

Napoli (4-3-3): Ospina; Di Lorenzo, Manolas, Luperto, Hysaj; Allan, Fabian, Zielinski; Callejon, Milik, Insigne.

Fiorentina (3-5-2): Dragowski; Milenkovic, Pezzella, Caceres; Lirola, Benassi, Pulgar, Castrovilli, Dalbert; Church, Cutrone.
