Udinese director of sport Pasquale Marino says Parma “dominated the first half” against the Zebrette, following their 2-0 loss.

The Gialloblu controlled the game and could have feasibly won by more, yet had to settle for a 2-0 win.

Marino, speaking to Udinese’s official website, says by the time they got their rhythm going, the game was over.

“I try to make a more concrete analysis and I say that we had a first half in which Parma dominated us in certain areas of the pitch,” Marino told the website.

“In the second half we went out but the game was practically over.

“We also made a lot of mistakes, if we had scored from one of the chances that we had the game could have went differently, but in the end I would say that Parma were superior to us.”

Marino believes the team has taken a backward step since the 3-2 defeat to Milan last week.

“Any side can suffer two consecutive defeats, especially if we think about how the defeat against Milan came. The team is going through a process of growth.

“In fact Parma’s two goals were our mistakes and in the second half we did everything wrong in front of goal.

“This is a step back from the performance against Milan.”
