Valentino Lazaro’s agent says the player’s first choice is “to go back to Inter” at the end of the season.

The Austrian joined Newcastle last week after finding it difficult to hold down a starting place in Antonio Conte’s starting XI.

Max Hagmayr, Lazaro’s agent, spoke to FCInterNews. It about the 23-year-old’s future.

“Valentino is happy to play in the Premier League and to be able to improve himself and show his quality in the English league,” said Hagmayr.

“The player’s first choice is to go back to Inter. With more time available he wants to demonstrate that he can help the Nerazzurri to win the Scudetto.”

It seemed that Inter boss Conte didn’t have confidence in Lazaro, but his agent denies this.

“Their relationship is very good. Valentino now wishes Inter the best for the rest of the season.”

Lazaro only played 513 minutes for Inter in the first half of the season.

He was signed from Hertha Berlin for €22m last summer.
