Torino are locked in talks over the future of Walter Mazzarri after “unacceptable” defeats, with reports Moreno Longo is the favourite to take over.
It is becoming an untenable situation after a series of three defeats in a week, losing 7-0 at home to Atalanta, 4-2 in extra time against Milan in the Coppa Italia and today 4-0 in Serie A away to Lecce.
“This is not the time to talk, but to reflect,” director general Comi told Sky Sport Italia.

“These defeats are painful for the club, the lads and I think it is only right that we consider this carefully. Performances like this are unacceptable.
“The attitude of the lads is not what we expected and now is the time to reflect. It’s not good to talk in the heat of the moment, so we’ll discuss it internally and then see.”
According to Sky Sport Italia, President Urbano Cairo and his directors spent hours after tonight’s game locked in the Stadio Via del Mare dressing room discussing the situation.
They are believed to have also questioned key players Salvatore Sirigu, Andrea Belotti, Lorenzo De Silvestri and Rosati.
Mazzarri took the Torino job in January 2018 and has overseen 37 wins, 24 draws and 27 defeats in all competition.
However, results have plummeted this season, with four consecutive defeats between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, scoring three goals and conceding 17.
If Mazzarri is fired, then the favourite to take over is Moreno Longo, who has already worked with Torino as their youth team coach, winning several trophies.
Longo has been out of work since he was sacked by Frosinone in December 2018.
