Bologna have assured they “would be very happy” if Rodrigo Palacio were to continue playing next season, as he turns 38 today.

The former Genoa and Inter striker is under contract until June, but does not seem to be in any rush for retirement.

“We too are waiting for his decision, but we read his statements and are happy to know he is enthusiastic and fired up for the future,” director of sport Riccardo Bigon told Sky Sport Italia.

“As far as we are concerned, the door is always open for a wonderful man and player. We would be very happy if he were to continue with us.”
