Sam Allardyce has claimed Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola will “completely change” the “negative” philosophy in Italy, if he ends up at Juventus.

Reports in England have claimed that the Bianconeri are considering to offer the former Barcelona coach an exit-route from his current club Manchester City.

After two years of dominating the Premier League, the Citizens are currently 22 points behind Liverpool in the table and rumours regarding the future of Guardiola have emerged in the media.

According to Allardyce, who has coached a host of clubs in the Premier League and had a very short spell as England coach in 2016, such a move could provide a “complete change” in the style of football at the Allianz Stadium.

“The Italian style of football is very negative, very defensive in terms of its outlook and always has been,” Allardyce told talkSPORT. “To win 1-0 has always been enough for them.

“He [Guardiola] will go and change that completely. He imposes his style of football wherever he lands. He will transform Juventus in terms of the way they play to his normal passing game.”
