Fabio Capello says Lazio “are the real surprise” of Serie A this season, and believes Inter are too inconsistent.
Capello was attending an awards ceremony in Berlin, and spoke to Sky Sport Italia about the fight for the Scudetto.
“The real surprise is that Juventus have 10 points less than in previous years, and that’s why their rivals are much closer,” Capello told the channel.
“They had some problems, and their competitors are fierce.

“Inter are nearby, but Lazio are the real surprise of the season, because many believed they couldn’t do so well. They really want to go for it.
“Inter instead have moments of being a great side, and other moments in which they lose their heads, as Antonio Conte has also said.
“So it will be difficult until the last moment.”
Lazio’s 2-1 win against Inter now sees the Biancocelesti rise to second in the league, only a point behind Juve.
“If you believe in winning the league, if you have your head in the right place and you have created a group without divisions, with even those who don’t play supporting the players on the field, then it is clear that the quality of players can make the difference.”
