The Rossoneri chairman has claimed that “it’s possible to look forward in a time of crisis”, as the two clubs have scheduled a meeting with the Municipality of Milan to discuss the possibilities of building a new stadium in the fashion capital.

The Rossoneri chairman has claimed that “it’s possible to look forward in a time of crisis”, as the two clubs have scheduled a meeting with the Municipality of Milan to discuss the possibilities of building a new stadium in the fashion capital.
“I agree with our Mayor Giuseppe Sala on the need to coordinate the utmost attention towards the emergency we are experiencing,” Scaroni told the Corriere della Sera. “With the importance of thinking about the future and the relaunch of Milan, I find that there is nothing better than building the most beautiful stadium in the world in our city.
“Milan and Inter are working on it together, a collaboration that, perhaps, is possible only here, where the fans are rivals but not enemies. The two teams certainly challenge each other on the pitch, but the two clubs have shown that they know how to work together.
“It’s a club that is very close to our hearts. Being able to achieve it would be excellent news for all sports and for all the people in Milan. Just to show that, even in times of crisis, it’s possible to look ahead and work for the future.
“Next week, we will have a meeting in the Municipality, I hope decisive, on the subject of the stadium. If there’s a city that can do it, it’s Milan.”
The Nerazzurri patron Zhang reiterated Scaroni’s words and added that Inter wanted to show their support to the city by donating money to the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences Luigi Sacco.
“We are proud to be part of Milan,” he told Corriere della Sera. “To demonstrate our support for the city, we have announced a donation to the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences Luigi Sacco in Milan.
“To support the extraordinary work of the sanitary workers in these complex days and to underline the deep bond of the club with the city.
“In addition, we will continue to support Milan, to talk about its rebirth, to launch a positive message, consolidating the link between Inter and Milan that’s already very strong, further enhancing it with the new stadium project.
“This will represent a further boost for the city, in line with the profile of innovation and propensity for change, which has always made Milan unique.”
