According to Spanish newspaper AS, UEFA are continuing to reject growing calls to postpone Euro 2020 or even delay it by a year due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Italy is so far the worst affected nation outside of China, but the illness is spreading rapidly in the rest of Europe and the United States.

With Serie A suspended until April 3, news that French, Spanish, Portuguese and German games will also be played behind closed doors, there are growing concerns this season won’t be able to finish on time.

Despite calls from several nations now to delay Euro 2020 beyond the June 12 date, or even move it to next summer, UEFA remain adamant it will go ahead as planned.

The opening game and ceremony are set for the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
