Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has revealed that he “can see” his club reducing salaries for the remainder of the coronavirus pandemic.

Juventus became the first Serie A side to announce their first team had taken pay cuts until June, and Tare is expecting Lazio’s players to accept similar terms.

“We still have to think about it,” he told Sport1.

“Our players are keeping in touch with each other, but they haven’t talked about this yet, although I can see us cutting salaries soon as well.

“It feels like we’re living in a horror film. At the beginning, everything was taken a little lightly.

“Sadly, the numbers of the deceased every day are terrifying. This is a disaster for the whole country.”
