“It’s no secret that I’ve always admired Boca Juniors,” said Gattuso.

“I was fortunate enough to play against Boca and win the Intercontinental Cup, as well as a friendly in the Audi Cup in Germany.

“I was close to joining Boca in 2012, but my wife is the one in charge of my household and she didn’t let me go. Our children were very small at the time, so it wasn’t the right family situation to do that.”
