Roma are reportedly plotting a triple swap deal for Fiorentina pair German Pezzella and Cristiano Biraghi, plus Udinese’s Rolando Mandragora.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the plans stem from Roma’s need to cut costs, which has been exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic.

The first two swaps involve Pezzella and Biraghi, the latter of whom seems unlikely to make his loan move to Inter permanent.

As per the newspaper, the Giallorossi are prepared to send Alessandro Florenzi and Leonardo Spinazzola in the opposite direction.

As per the newspaper, the Giallorossi are prepared to send Alessandro Florenzi and Leonardo Spinazzola in the opposite direction.

The two full-backs are deemed surplus to requirements, with Florenzi having been loaned to Valencia in January.

Spinazzola, meanwhile, saw a proposed switch to Inter fall through and is no longer a first choice for Paulo Fonseca.

Elsewhere, La Gazzetta claims Roma could offer midfielder Bryan Cristante to Udinese for Mandragora.

However, that exchange depends on whether Juventus redeem their €26m option to buy back the former Italy Under-21 international this summer.

Cristante, for his part, has played 21 times for the Lupi in 2019-20 but missed three months of the season with a hamstring tear.
