Inter are allegedly planning a strategy to solve Valentino Lazaro’s uncertain future, as he most likely returns from Newcastle this summer.

The Austrian full-back was signed for €22.4m last summer but left San Siro in January, when the Nerazzurri decided to offload the former Hertha Berlin defender.

Newcastle picked him up on a six-month loan with an option to buy for €20m, but the 24-year-old from Graz has struggled to make an impact at St James’ Park since his arrival.

The Magpies are not expected to trigger the option in their deal and Inter have, according to reports in Italy, been working on a strategy to sort out Lazaro’s future.

Lazaro only played four times before the forced break in England and appeared six times in Serie A before leaving San Siro in January.
