Valencia have reportedly agreed to extend Alessandro Florenzi’s loan from Roma until the end of the season.

Florenzi was initially contracted to Valencia until June 30 and a return to Roma looked increasingly on the cards.

However, Corriere della Sera writes a new agreement has been reached between the two clubs for him to see out the 2019-20 campaign at Mestalla, as per FIFA guidelines.

It was announced yesterday that La Liga would resume on June 11 and end on July 19.

The newspaper explains the Spaniards will continue to pay 70 percent of his €3m salary, before possibly keeping him on loan for next season.

The 29-year-old made just five appearances for Valencia before the coronavirus lockdown and recently upset fans when he said they emitted ‘less passion’ than their Giallorossi counterparts.
