Barcelona have denied Massimo Cellino’s claim that they offered Brescia €65m plus two players for Sandro Tonali.

Cellino told Corriere dello Sport this morning: “Before the coronavirus, Barcelona had arrived at €65m plus two very interesting guys valued €7.5m each, one was a defender.”

However, Mundo Deportivo say the Catalans have ‘denied’ that to be the case, calling it ‘a strategy to increase the player’s price’.

The patron added in his interview that the midfielder preferred to stay in Italy and join Juventus or Inter.

Tonali, who turned 20 last month, has one goal and five assists in 25 appearances for Brescia this season.
