Ricardo Rodriguez could return to Serie A after his PSV Eindhoven spell, but for Napoli or Roma rather than Milan, claim reports in Holland.

According to ed.nl, the Swiss international will not be making a permanent move to PSV Eindhoven, as the club wasn’t convinced enough to take up the €18m purchase option.

There is no room for the left-back with the Rossoneri either, but that doesn’t mean his Serie A career is over.

Napoli had already been linked with Rodriguez, where he’d reunite with former Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso.

Now Roma are also said to be tracking his progress, with the aim of a loan deal with option to buy.

Rodriguez made only 11 competitive appearances for PSV Eindhoven after his January switch.
