Christian Eriksen is set to start for Inter this evening against Napoli, who are sweating over the fitness of Dries Mertens and Fabian Ruiz.

Eriksen will almost certainly occupy the place in the hole behind strikers Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku.

The Dane has yet to truly ignite since his January switch from Tottenham Hotspur, managing just one goal in eight appearances.

Elsewhere, Andrea Ranocchia is considered to have the edge on Stefan de Vrij in Inter’s back three.

However, Matias Vecino, Diego Godin, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Lucien Agoume are all unavailable.

Napoli, meanwhile, will go with Nikola Maksimovic over the injured Kostas Manolas in central defence, while Matteo Politano is free to face his parent club.

Politano will get the nod over Jose Callejon on the right wing, but Fabian – scorer of the goal that separates the two teams in this Coppa Italia semi-final – Mertens are touch-and-go after picking up strains earlier this week.

The second leg takes place at the San Paolo and gets under way at 20:00 BST.

Napoli (probable): Ospina; Di Lorenzo, Maksimovic, Koulibaly, Mario Rui; Fabian, Demme, Zielinski; Politano, Mertens, Insigne

Inter (probable): Handanovic; Skriniar, Ranocchia, Bastoni; Candreva, Barella, Brozovic, Young; Eriksen; Lautaro, Lukaku
