Reports in Uruguay suggest Roma are intensifying their negotiations for free agent Edinson Cavani, offering a three-year contract.
The 33-year-old striker has come to the end of his experience at Paris Saint-Germain, as his deal expires tomorrow.
Atletico Madrid, Inter and Newcastle United have also been linked, but Roma are emerging as very strong contenders for his signature.
According to Sport 890 reporter Gonzalo Ronchi, the next few days are going to be decisive in the talks between Roma and Cavani’s entourage.
The Serie A club is proposing a three-year contract to the Uruguay international.
It would be a return to Italy for Cavani, who wore the Palermo jersey from 2007-10, then represented Napoli until 2013.
