Udinese coach Luca Gotti has claimed ‘good goals’ by Sampdoria and ‘tired’ Friulians brought their run of three games unbeaten to an end.

Captain Kevin Lasagna scored the opener at the Dacia Arena on Sunday, but Fabio Quagliarella equalised seconds before half-time before Federico Bonazzoli and Manolo Gabbiadini sealed the win late in the second half.

“We were a bit tired, several players paid for the effort in the previous tight matches,” Gotti said at a post-match press conference.

“In addition, there were some good goals by Sampdoria. The game was below our standards, we were inaccurate. The ball was moving too slowly.

“We could have been better when we conceded the equaliser, then the game went out of balance. By virtue of the programme that says we will face big teams, the most important thing is to recover our energy for the match against Lazio.”

Next up are mentioned Lazio, who arrive at the Dacia already on Wednesday this week.
