According to Bergamo e Sport, backed by Calciomercato.com and others, Muriel had an accidental fall.
It left him with a cut as well as head trauma.

Sky Sport Italia have since updated the details, pointing out Muriel slipped and fell while in the swimming pool with some of his teammates and hit his head.
It's not believed to be particularly serious, but it goes without saying he's out of this evening's Brescia game.
The Colombia international was taken to hospital for tests.
Atalanta are currently fourth in the Serie A table, having registered nine consecutive victories and a 2-2 draw with Juventus.
