The one and only time two players scored over 30 goals in the same Serie A season was 1950-51 with Gunnar Nordahl (Milan) and Istvan Nyers (Inter).

They can now try to challenge the all-time Serie A record of 36 goals set by Gonzalo Higuain for Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli in 2015-16.

Immobile also becomes only the fifth Italian player to score at least 30 goals in a single Serie A campaign, after Giuseppe Meazza in 1929-30, Felice Borel in 1933-34, Antonio Angelillo in 1958-59 and Luca Toni in 2005-06.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo is the third Juventus player to hit the 30-goal mark in Serie A after Borel in 1933-34 and John Hansen in 1951-52.
