Captain Lars Bender insists Bayer Leverkusen have to approach the Europa League quarter-final as a team and not worry about ‘individual Inter players.’

It kicks off in Dusseldorf on Monday at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

“I only want to talk about my own team and not the opponents,” said Bender in his press conference.

“Inter have some great players, but it’s not going to be decided by Romelu Lukaku or any other individual Inter players. We are up against an experienced side with stars who have long challenged at this level, but we can say the same about ourselves.

“I am expecting an interesting match. The important thing we must remember is that it doesn’t matter who we are up against, we have to work as a team and help each other out on the field.”
