Chelsea: 'Farewell Pedro'

Chelsea have officially said farewell to Pedro, who seems set to move on a free transfer to Roma this summer.

The Spanish 33-year-old has reportedly signed a deal until June 2022 with an option of a further year and the London club have thanked the winger for his contribution to the Blues’ success in recent years.

Pedro moved to Chelsea from Barcelona in 2015 and has picked up a Premier League trophy, the FA Cup and the Europa League during his five years in the English capital.

“In recent years we have been fortunate to benefit from Pedro’s footballing brain and almost unmatched pedigree for success in the game, which has helped rub off on some of the younger, less experienced players around him,” the club wrote in their farewell message.

Pedro won the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012 with Spain, and picked up five La Liga titles, three Copa del Rey and three Champions League with Barcelona.
