La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Cagliari coach Eusebio Di Francesco wants to reinforce his defence and the Rossoblu might go to his former club Sampdoria.
Di Francesco and Murru spent a short period together at the start of 2019-20 but could be reunited again in 2020-21.
Murru moved from Cagliari to Sampdoria in July 2017 and signed a new four-year deal at the Marassi in February.
