Overnight, the Corriere dell’Umbria newspaper found four mannequins hanging from a bridge over a main road in the city of Perugia.
There were three wearing Perugia shirts, with numbers 9, 23 and 27 (representing Pietro Iemmello, Marcello Falzerano and Gianluca Di Chiara), and a fourth meant to represent the club directors.
They were accompanied by a threatening banner, which read: ‘This is how we want you.’
The last time Perugia were relegated from Serie B to C was in 1986-87.
