Manchester United are considering a bid for Juventus winger Douglas Costa, claim Sky Sport Italia, but are concerned by his injury record.

The Brazilian turns 30 next month and is one of the main figures thought to be on sale this summer amid another squad revamp in Turin under new coach Andrea Pirlo.

His contract with Juve runs to 2022 and he was purchased from Bayern Munich in 2017 for €46m.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Manchester United are currently evaluating the pros and cons of making a genuine offer.

They like the player and have done for several years, but are also concerned at the long list of injuries Douglas Costa has suffered from.

He has made 101 competitive appearances in a Juventus jersey, contributing 10 goals and 21 assists, again not a great return for a very attack-minded winger.

Since joining Juve in 2017, Douglas Costa has suffered from eight major injuries, most of them muscular.
