The attacking wide man turns 23 next month and was linked with clubs including Inter, Juventus, Milan, Manchester United, PSG, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid.

With a contract due to expire in June 2022, time is running out to find Chiesa a new club or extend his current Fiorentina stay.

Viola director of sport Daniele Pradè told Sky Sport Italia this weekend that Chiesa’s transfer value is “something more than €70m.”

There are simply no Serie A clubs prepared to pay that sum.

According to Calciomercato.com, he could be allowed to leave on loan with obligation to buy for €50m plus bonuses.
