Napoli will have Lorenzo Insigne back on the bench, as Stanislav Lobotka seems set to replace Tiemoue Bakayoko in the centre against AZ Alkmaar.

The match kicks off at 17.55 UK time.

Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso is still without Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas, who tested positive for coronavirus, but the visitors are hit even harder by the disease before travelling to the San Paolo.

Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso is still without Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas, who tested positive for coronavirus, but the visitors are hit even harder by the disease before travelling to the San Paolo.

The coach will have his captain Insigne back in the fold, but the Italy international should start on the bench, as Gattuso is not expected to change anything from the attack that helped the Partenopei to a 4-1 win against Atalanta last weekend.

Lobotka and Fabian Ruiz are expected to start in the middle, behind Matteo Politano, Dries Mertens and Hirving Lozano. Victor Osimhen should start up front in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo seems to be replaced by Mario Rui, as Elseid Hysaj could start at right. Nikola Maksimovic and Kalidou Koulibaly are expected in defence, ahead of Alex Meret in goal.

As mentioned, the visitors have a host of absentees ahead of the match in Naples, but a familiar face from the 2014 World Cup, Bruno Martins Indi, seems set to start at the back.

Napoli (probable): Meret; Hysaj, Maksimovic, Koulibaly, Mario Rui; Lobotka, Fabian; Politano, Mertens, Lozano; Osimhen

AZ (probable): Bizot; Svensson, Hatzdiakos, Martins Indi, Wijndal; Midtsjo, Koopmeiners, De Wit; Gudmundsson, Stengs, Karlsson

Referee: Stefanski (POL)
